Supporting communities
Bags of Kindness
bringing comfort and care
Since we began working together 5 years ago, over 18,000
Bags of Kindness have been distributed across the
county, in partnership with and funded by
Hertfordshire County Council.
Our Bags of Kindness project reaches those who
need a little extra support over the winter. They
continue to provide a mix of practical items and
treats, including a fleece blanket, gripper socks, hot
chocolate sachets, biscuits, soup and chocolates as well as
an information pack, activity books and pens. This year,
we were joined by Angie Ridgwell, Chief Executive
of Hertfordshire County Council, and Council
Leader, Councillor Steve Jarvis, who kindly
volunteered their time, to help pack the 2,500 Bags of
Kindness.
Your kindness has brightened my day.”

Lynne Misner, CEO & Founder of Small Acts of Kindness said, “We are
hugely proud of our partnership with Hertfordshire County
Council and the opportunity that this brings. We see everyday, the impact
felt by recipients. They feel special, cared for and remembered. Aside
from the practical items providing support, comfort and information, the
sense of feeling part of the community cannot be
underestimated and we are delighted to be able to extend this
aspect of our work, collaborating with teams across the council
to reach vulnerable residents.”
